The 2011 Barn Tour, Dinner, Art Exhbit & Art Auction We are pleased to announce that we will be having the Barn Tour and Dinner again this year. The event will be on October 16th from 1 to 7pm and will feature a tour of three Preble County barns, dinner at the Historical Farm, live music and an artwork auction. The auction will be of artwork created by plein air artists at inspired by scenes around the Preble County Hisotrical Farm. All proceeds generated by this event will go to benefit the Preble County Historical Society and the Preble County Art Association. In conjunction with this event we will be holding our first collaborative Plein Air Art Competition. All artwork must be created on the grounds of the Preble County Historical Society between August 19th and September 30th. The exhibit will be on display at the Preble County Art Association from October 4th to October 28th. If you did not make it to last years Barn Tour and the Barn Art Exhibit held at the Preble County Fine Arts Center, you can still see images online from the events. We will have more information out soon about which barns we will be visiting and much more, so come back and visit us soon! If you already know that you want to attend, tickets are $30 a person, include the tour, dinner, one raffle ticket, live music and opportunity to buy original Preble County artwork.
